Is the UFC slipping up?
So even though there are great fighters all over the world & in other fighting "leagues", the UFC is clearly the cream of the crop. But, are they starting to let the competition catch up a little? What I mean is, first they had a chance to sign Fedor Emelinenko & the deal fell through & Strikeforce signed him. Then, Dan Henderson destroys Bisping at UFC 100 & the contract negotiations fell through there & he signed with Strikeforce. Seriously, they should have been more aggressive & tried harder to sign these guys. Hendo should have been 1st or 2nd in line for the middleweight title. He should have got the winner of Silva & Marquardt. Or vice versa. By allowing the competition to sign these two huge stars have they missed an opportunity to solidify themselves as the top MMA "league". I realize the sport is bigger than 2 guys, but my point is, is this a trend or an anomaly?
