Separation from husband?

I am married for 2 years and recently separated frm my husband aft having lots of misunderstandings.I have a son age 1,but my husband refuse to let me take him along when I left. I went through lots of beatings and verbal abuse frm my husband for past one year especially after delivery. My husband listen to his mother and when she say anything abt me,he support her and not me.He never allow me to talk to my parents and family.With heavy heart, I had to leave my son with my husband, because I do not want to cause any problems aft I decide to leave.My husband always ask me to leave and say that he will be peaceful in life without me.Now I am with my parents.I love my husband and my son very much.I dont want a divorce.But,I want my husband be happy.It is one mth since I left.He has not call me asking me to return.I miss my son very much. Everyday I cry thinking about my husband and son.Should I call and speak to my husband or should I just wait for him to call me?Pls help,I am confused.
